Mehdi SalimiDr. Mehdi Salimi (ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6537-6346) is an assistant professor in mathematics in Canada (McMaster University and then StFX University).

He obtained his PhD in applied mathematics (Game Theory) in 2011 from UPM, Malaysia. In 2006, he acquired a master’s degree in pure mathematics in Tehran, Iran. He was also a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Dynamics (CfD), Dresden University of Technology, Germany, and finished the position in January 2015. Then he moved to the MEDAlics – Research Centre of the University Dante Alighieri in Reggio Calabria, Italy, for another postdoctoral. Dr. Salimi currently is a senior member of Center for Dynamics in faculty of mathematics at Dresden University of Technology, Germany, a fellow in MEDAlics, and a team member in Decisions Lab in DiGiES at University of Reggio Calabria, Italy. Dr. Salimi was a visiting professor in DiGiES at University of Reggio Calabria, Italy in 2019 and then he was a lecturer in department of mathematics at Simon Fraser University, Canada.

Dr. Salimi is an editorial board member of Mathematical Methods of Operations Research and he has published more than 50 articles. His research interests are: game theory, pursuit-evasion differential games, data science, data analysis, machine learning and numerical analysis.
